Idiot Award For April 2014

After almost one full year since the bombing at the Boston Marathon, the brilliance of one idiot has come out in full bloom.

Kayvon Edson be thy name.

He was found near the finish line of this year’s Boston Marathon, shouting and parading around. He had two backpacks and then he simply left them (or at least one) behind.

One of the bags was being carried by a barefoot man who was wearing a long black veil and screaming “Boston Strong.”

What kind of idiot is this?

Turns out he’s a 25 year old “performance artist” from the Massachusetts College Of Art and Design.

Is it just me (and it probably is) or what the hell is it with 25 year old people going on right now???

The hoax literally scared some people to death and the police took action on taking care of the backpack. Only for it to have a rice cooker inside full of confetti.

Again, I say… idiot.  

This is NOT art. This is NOT a funny “ha ha” joke. This is NOT amusing. People died last year and many, many others were severely injured. And you wanna stroll around Boston calling this art?

This isn’t art. It’s illegal. What it truly is, is a FELONY!!

And now that Edson is now in the custody of Boston Police, I hope they let him have it while they can.

This isn’t funny at all. A ceremony had just finished taking place to remember those lost and/or hurt from last year’s tragedy. And this buzzed-out boner of a brain comes prancing around without shoes and pulls this prank.

The 2014 Boston Marathon will take place on the 21st of April with thousands of people participating in hopes to march (or run) forward leaving this adversity to Boston behind them. And strive for a new and brighter future.

And I will add, although it goes without saying, they will do this WITHOUT having to deal with people like Edson. Good riddance and please throw the book at him!!!!

One More Facebook Hoax

Here we go again.

Most recently, the hoax has come up on Facebook that Céline Dion is dead. Or was killed in some kind of automobile accident or something like that.

I find this hoax to be particularly funny.

She was just on American television today. She’s NOT dead!!!

And if you know someone who has posted on their profile that she is dead? Then their profile has been compromised.

It promises a gruesome and gory video of the so-called accident and swears up and down that only people who are 18 years old and up should click on the link. But when you do….. there’s nothing. Instead, what you have done is allowed this “bug” or whatever to access your personal information without you knowing about it.

So a couple of things:

1- You’re an idiot to think that.

2- If someone tells you that its on your profile, you’ve been compromised. Take the necessary steps to recover your personal information.

3- Don’t be shy to WARN others that YOU can see the post because most likely, if someone’s profile is compromised, then that person doesn’t have any idea that its there….. unless you say something.

Dumb Bitch Hoax

So here’s this young single mother. She’s unable to care for her own child. Between school, work, her life, there’s just no room for her child. And she gets on to Facebook and cries to the world of morons who will listen to her that she’s having to give up her child and surrender him to foster care.

Why?? Because she’s a dumb bitch and thinks she can’t take care of him any more.

You know…. the more and more that I hear about these kind of stories, the less and less that I believe in and trust in humanity as a whole.

The only part about this story that is its saving grace is that IT IS A HOAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Teresaa Perez is NOT giving up her child to foster care.

Personally once I found out that this was all a hoax, a few things had to happen.

#1- I had to remove the link from my own Facebook page. #2- I had left a comment to the person where I got the link from, and told THEM that it was a HOAX. #3-  Roll my eyes because this person is the SAME person that just constantly puts up anything on their Facebook page without regards to researching to see if whether or not it is true.

Here on Dambreaker, I do my best to research something before I post it. And yet since I am human, I do make a few mistakes here and there. But there’s that quality of personality which drives me through the roof when a person makes a simple mistake like this, but then continues to do so with reckless disregard of what’s going on.

I’ve lost a few people on Facebook because of it. And I suppose that this is no exception that I will lose this one as well.

It does not make any sense to me for anyone NOT to look these things up for themselves and then make their own decisions on what is best. I just don’t get it.

As for this single mother, I no longer know whether she even exits or if that’s her real name or whatever.

But its fooling everyone…. including me!
