“I’ve had great fans, and they’ve been so loyal over the years.”~ George Strait

Most recently, the USA Sledge Hockey team took a visit to the White House to meet the President of the United States of America.

It sounds as if they all had a thrilling and most wonderful time.

All of the members are still living with pride for winning GOLD for their country.

I have to say as a sledge hockey player that I am still proud of these guys that they have won back to back gold medals.

Even the President of the United States was thrilled to have members of the team there at the White House.

It seemed like a great day for everyone as there were Olympians and Paralympians together.

So then we introduce to you this national treasure: Nikko Landeros.  nikkoFB

He posted an interest on Facebook that he wanted to go to the George Strait concert this evening in his area. And then a little bit later he also announced that he is now on Twitter.

I guess sooner or later it happens to those who have become our nation’s top athletes that Twitter would be a necessity.

As much as I have heard a lot of people that don’t really care for Twitter, the story for Nikko Landeros today gets very exciting.

I don’t know exactly how long he’s had his Twitter account but it nikkowould pay off in spades.

George Strait contacted Nikki Landeros via Twitter and promised him PERSONALLY  that he would have tickets waiting for him at the show that he so desperately wanted to attend.

“Thank you for representing our country!” Strait says.

I’ve always known George Strait to be a very patriotic person, proud of the country that he lives in and he’s always proud of all of his fans who are so loyal to him.

Being that I’m not exactly into country music, I can just imagine that George Strait just as any other musician is grateful to have fans that enjoy what he does. And when it comes to his fans actually going to Sochi, Russia and playing for the USA and winning GOLD as a team back to back… that’s gotta make him so incredibly proud!

I don’t know what’s going to happen this evening for Nikko Landeros, but I DO hope that he takes his gold medal with him. And I do hope that he gets to meet George Strait in person at some point this evening.

Thank you, Mr. George Strait

This story is great to write about. You never really know what’s going to happen when you reach out to certain people, especially on Twitter.

Thank you, Mr. George Strait for doing this for Nikko. And thank you again, Mr. Nikko Landeros for representing our country, playing your heart and soul out in Sochi, and winning back to back gold medals for Team USA. I am proud of you!

“I’m not going to take the bullet for everything.” — Penny Drossos

Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Melissa Gorga is under fire right now for a book she wrote that was just recently released.

I could not believe it when I heard about it. The messy details are right here and you can even get a sense of what is actually in the book:

That’s right!! MARITAL RAPE, and she stands by every little word.

Unbelievable.

And now I sit here and wonder how in the world these kinds of people are getting TV shows, music deals, and other financial endorsements. Its all just mind-boggling to me how some of the most heroic kinds of people are barely mentioned in the media, but we give so much to these kinds of moronic masses. Its the heroes of this country that should have the TV and endorsement deals, NOT these kinds of bozos!!!!

I’m going to take a guess, way out here in left field, and assume that Mrs. Gorga has never experienced a rape personally. And what she cares to lean towards in the bedroom that turns her on by her man, should actually stay in her bedroom.

I’ll take the guy who saved twenty kittens from a burning building over some blonde with fake boobs who can’t even spell “IQ” to be on television at any given time.

“It’s nothing you’d understand, but I do have something to say. In fact, I have a lot to say, but now is not the time or place. I don’t know why I’m wasting my time or breath. But what the hell? As for what is said of my life, there have been lies in the past and there will be lies in the future. I don’t believe in the hypocritical, moralistic dogma of this so-called civilized society. I need not look beyond this room to see all the liars, hater, the killers, the crooks, the paranoid cowards–truly trematodes of the Earth, each one in his own legal profession. You maggots make me sick– hypocrites one and all. And no one knows that better than those who kill for policy, clandestinely or openly, as do the governments of the world, which kill in the name of God and country or for whatever reason the deem appropriate. I don’t need to hear all of society’s rationalizations, I’ve heard them all before and the fact remains that what is, is. You don’t understand me. You are not expected to. You are not capable of it. I am beyond your experience. I am beyond good and evil, Legions of the night–night breed–repeat not the errors of the Night Prowler and show no mercy. I will be avenged. Lucifer dwells within us all. That’s it” —Richard Ramirez’s statement before he received sentencing at his trial.

Ricardo Muñoz Ramirez, the serial killer also known as The Night Stalker died by natural causes. He was 53 years old.

He had been on California’s Death Row for at least two decades awaiting his execution. But now there is no longer a need to suffer the citizens of California for their tax monies to be able to take care of this person while in prison waiting to die.

I’m not sure of what the cause of death is at this point. 53 years old is very young in this world to die.

But I remember the times where he taunted the jury with gestures and actions and words of Satanism. I wondered if that was really what he believed in or was he just trying to scare up some court room drama?

When the jury gave him death, I was sure that I was going to see it happen within my life time. There were plenty of other people who were eagerly awaiting the news of his execution. But now, that will never happen. The remaining family members of his victims will have their closure but not in the way that they were expecting.

Ramirez didn’t die inside of a prison hospital either. In a sense, he was “out of jail” when he died.

The Night Stalker  became one of those serial killers that many people (including myself) became fascinated with. His crimes were so horrible at the time that it seemed implausible. But Ramirez made it into a nightmarish reality.

Doreen Lioy (wife of Ramirez)

And so now I wonder what next for everyone involved?

I even remember the story of the wife of Ramirez, Doreen Lioy.

She and Ramirez were married while he was in prison. And they both decided to make a pact that when he was executed by the state that she would commit suicide on the very same day.

So is she still alive? Or did she kill herself??

And there’s even talk about them being divorced. Of which information I could not find to prove or disprove.

If someone knows where she is now, let me know. And if she did kill herself or did not, let me know that as well. I thank you in advance!!!!

As we get into the days ahead, I am sure that we will find out more information about the death. I just hope that the media doesn’t give him as much coverage as they did during his criminal trial.

GOOD NIGHT, PRINCE OF DARKNESS!

Dark Secrets

“The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources. “~ Albert Einstein
It would be foolish to assume that not everyone has a deep dark secret. In fact, by some definition of the term, we all have secrets in our lives that we would prefer to keep away from the rest of the world.

However with the Peyton Place style of life in which I live, news came to me that was something that got leaked out. But “leaked” is such a judgemental term. I just ended up getting the news from someone who had heard it directly from the soure. Gossip? Maybe. But I can see how in this case the gossip wouldn’t be woven in lies but in truth.

It was difficult to hear that one couple who lives here, has some how been able to screw the utility company. 80% of it though, is from non-payment. And they still have their electricity on. They have not once been turned off.

In this state, it is a law that the utility and power company cannot shut off electricity for those who are on a medical need. Such as oxygen, and other assorted medical equipment that needs to be plugged in to keep that person alive.

There are some neighbors here that are on oxygen 24/7. But the ones that I am writing about… are NOT. At some point, they contacted the electric company and actually lied by saying that they were on these machines that had to be kept running day and night. They knew about this law, and they abused it.

Now their electricity bill has grown to over $2,000.

I do not know just how much energy that they actually use from daily living. I know that they are in a 2 bedroom, and I am only in a 1 bedroom. So there’s going to be more usage for cooling and heating purposes.

And so the thing about it that honestly blew my mind, is that they’ve never paid their electric bill. Obviously they haven’t for some time if it actually has gotten that high. For myself, that’s like nearly five years of usage! Who knows how long it has been since they’ve even dropped a penny at it?

I am reminded of my last relationship. My ex-girlfriend’s father was similar in his wicked ways. Not so much by telling sob stories and lying to the power company, but rather never paying the bills. Her father was an active member of movie and music clubs. Her parents had a enormous collection of DVD’s that numbered into the thousands, and was fast approaching ten thousand. The number of CD’s that they also had in their home was insane as well. Because they kept ordering and never paid.

I cannot imagine a life of dodging and ducking paying bills. It must have been hell for her parents.

I remember the conversation I had with her father when I asked how he could afford it all. He said, “Just let them come after me and try to collect. By the time that they catch up with me. I will probably be dead. At least, I hope so. Then they can take it out of me.”

It really bothered me to hear that from a man that my then girlfriend looked up to and adored the ground he walked on. Combined with the fear she had for him if she were to go against his wishes.

Nonetheless, the neighbors here will still have to pay that huge amount. They ARE using that much power and have accumulated that much debt to the power company. To believe that they are just going to “get away” with it, would be very foolish. It was just so shocking to hear their attitude about it. I thought they were a bit smarter than that. But it would explain a lot about their own personal lifestyle. Which is their own business of course, but living in this small place that I do… one must be careful of what they do and what they say.

I do my best to keep out of a major part of other people’s business who lives here. Mainly because I would not want them so deep into my own business. And learning my own dark secrets.

Many have assumed that because in the past, I have spent a lot of my free time with this couple that I would hang out with them a lot. So others believe that it was okay to ask me “Where are they today?”. I’m not their keeper. I had luckily put an end to that one by simply not answering the curious crowds.

This dark secret of my neighbor is out. It’s quite a shame.

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/45817406/ns/today-today_people/t/man-divorcing-wife-years-over-affair-s/

A 99 year old Italian man is seeking divorce from his 96 year old wife, after 77 years of marriage. I could not believe the story when I read it!

After finding letters from a lover that was written to his wife over 50 years ago, the husband suspected an affair. The wife ultimately admitted to the affair- which happened in the 1940’s!!!

Understandably angry, the husband is now filing for divorce.

Whiskey-tango-foxtrot, over??

I get that he is angry. I get that he was betrayed by the woman he married. I get that he is hurt and his aging heart might be broken and what not. But 77 years together?? What in the world was their marriage like one year ago, ten years ago???

I don’t get this move. I think that they are both freakin’ lucky that when he found out the truth that he did not suffer cardiac arrest. Or worse.

What in the world are the two of them going to do now? And how do the split up everything? Who’s insurance gets to pay for the nursing home? Who’s retirement gets to pay for medical bills? It’s all so confusing.

And from reading the above article, what kind of is fascinating to me is that they have one great-great-grandchild. That’s a lot of greats!! The family lineage is strong and the family tree has many branches.

I wonder what this Italian family is going to do for holidays, birthdays, and other special events in 2012?

Insanity!!

So now this 99 year old man will be single again. The only thing that I can do is wish him well as he jumps back into the dating pool. But I really believe that for his age group, it’s pretty damned shallow!!

Good luck. But I don’t think e-Harmony, OKCupid, and other dating websites have a “70 and older” category for their members. It’s going to suck for him. And not in a good way either.

And the poor wife. Cheating on him so very long ago. People make very stupid decisions. And I guess that she is feeling somewhat relieved that she no longer has to carry this secret with her any longer, now that she admitted to her husband that she did have the affair.

I’m not sure as to why the husband cannot forgive her. MY GUESS is that the lover is probably no longer living. But, I don’t know that for sure.

77 years of matrimony, gone in one day.
