Alicia-WalickeGo ahead. Make me dizzy with my eyes a-rollin’..

This one is way to close to home.

Meet Alicia Walicke of Cedar Park, Texas. A city just outside of Austin, Texas.

Her boyfriend apparently went to jail for reasons unknown at the moment.

But she wanted to take full responsibility for her significant other’s incarceration, and so she decided to steal a bottle of wine that cost $3.99!

Walicke made it NO secret what she was doing and when the police officers arrived on the scene and began to arrest her, she insisted that she be taken to jail.

Just so she could be with or be closer to her boyfriend.

Umm……….. what??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?????????????

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that Walicke does have a criminal history for similar actions, but stealing a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 just to be closer to your significant other. That places you up there with the rest of the boneheads, morons, and idiots of this world that keep the progression of the human race from advancing as far as they can.

Walicke was released after posting $5,000 last Friday. idiotawardNo word on whether or not she got to “make it up to her boyfriend” or not.

Then again, how in the world was she going to do that to begin with? She should have known just by her own criminal arrest record that she would be separated from the male inmates.

She makes it easy to pick on her hair color. But I’m not going to sink to her levels of whatever you wanna call it.

I fear that one of these days, this award is going to be handed out to someone that I personally know!!!!

But this honestly is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard just to get next to someone. Couldn’t she just wait out her boyfriend’s incarceration time to be served? Then “make it up to him” in other ways??

“There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.”~ Malcolm X

Now that this battle is over, I can actually talk about it.

In the past couple of years, I have been fighting for creative control over a writing project that I had been in 2009.

I had started writing a short story about a woman who was adopted as a child and faced a lifetime abuse, and finally as a woman on her own she snapped and pretty much turn the town upside, slaughtering her abusers and killing anyone who dared to harm her again.

But I had trouble writing this story as I really didn’t have a lot of knowledge of the subject matter. Plus with the ethical problems of whether or not I should write this story at all.

So I had put it away to think about.

In late 2008, I was talking to someone in my social circles about this story and about the problems I was having writing it, much less finishing it. And they became interested and pretended to be concerned. So I shared the unfinished draft with them by e-mailing the document to them.

Shortly afterwards, I lost contact with that person. And about a year later, I found them again on a website that was there for young and beginning authors to share their creative stories.

I found my own story already posted by that old colleague. Names were changed and what not, but it was still the same story.

I contacted them to remove it, and I kicked and screamed like a child feeling so much hurt from the betrayal. But then the other person decided to fight it.

They copyrighted the story and even had it published in a small book. The story that I wrote was mixed in with a bunch of other compositions that they had written.

I fought back. Stating that it was MY story that was being used and plagiarized.

But today came the end of this battle. I lost. I only had a document file of a story that was similar to theirs, and I was unable to prove that I had written it first or had been the original author.

It sucks but I am looking on the bright side.

The ethical problems that I had with writing it in the first place, I can let go of. Neither am I responsible in any way to have to pay the other author anything over this matter.

It sucks knowing that the idea that I came up with was stolen in such a manner of deceit. Pretending that they wanted to see it, to see if they could help come up with something that I could get through it and finish the story and then their pledge that they would assist in getting in published somewhere because they liked what they read. Only to have them take original character names and places and replace those with their own and have it published.

I haven’t shared anything that wasn’t completed since then. Nor will I.

I have other projects that I can work on that I believe would actually make a good book, screenplay, or even film.

So I’m brushing off being knocked on my butt and moving on with other things.

I do not know who these people think they are and I do not know where they come from, but the last that I knew is if you walk onto another person’s property and take something from their garden without prior permission, that’s stealing.

Yesterday I saw exactly that and I had caught them in the act. This was not the first time either that I had caught this person messing around in the rose bushes and clipping off roses.

I do not know who planted them. They were here when I moved in. And I personally never mess with it even though I am aware that you have to deal with them once in a while to make sure that they bring back more beautiful blooms.

But I like them. If I didn’t, I’d have them removed. What I do not like is the fact that anyone walking around outside on the property thinks that they can just come up and take a rose or two without asking.

After a brief meeting with my apartment manager, he said that there was nothing that he could do or say other than “Don’t do that” to enforce people to stop stealing the roses. I then gave the retort that if he was not going to do anything about it, then I would. He nodded and I took that as the blessing to do whatever it takes.

I forgot to mention to him that he might wanna have some bail money set aside just in case I find the same people are doing it over and over and over again.

Yesterday morning, I had three small buds that were beginning to bloom. By the afternoon I had only two. And when I caught the person doing it, they were trimming back some of the stems on the rose bushes. But I gave no permission for them to do that, nor did I ask them to help prune the bushes. I don’t care if they think or believe that they are only doing something to help, stealing is wrong. And wrong is wrong. I also do not care if they think that they are entitled or deserving of a rose or two because they think that they are helping. If you do not ask, then you are in the wrong.

And its not like I would deny anyone IF THEY WOULD ASK FIRST.

But I only had three starting to bloom. And after the fact, I found three more buds that haven’t started to open yet. I would have had six. After that, I wouldn’t have cared if they asked for one. But now I have two and I don’t know if/when the other three will begin to open up.

I’m also sick of finding that those who are doing this aren’t even people who live here! They are people who are hired by home health agencies to help those who do live here. What the hell are they doing spending their time in my corner of the world? That’s not what they are here for!!

So I’m off for now to buy a slingshot and fill a squirt bottle full of water.
