Smart-Ways-To-Design-A-Money-Saving-Plan-For-2013

“The world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck.”~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is interesting.

I received an e-mail not that long ago from a group of strangers who apparently live in northern California/southern Oregon state region. Together they have a band.

But I’ve been secretly and yet cordially invited to join their band.

I’m told that they’ve seen video of me singing and think that I have it as a baritone voice. Which is what they are looking for.

I thought that this might have been a band in Houston, if so…  I was going to totally flip out!

But it is not.

The other thing about it is that they’ve “seen video of me singing?” WHAT?!?!?!????

I’ve not done public karaoke in a long time. I can’t think of anything that I may have done publicly where I may have been recorded and not have known it. 20111112-145137

They said that they would put together about $1,000 for me to get there if I wanted to join. That money would be mine to use to get there. Personally though, I don’t think its enough.

Not to live in that part of the country at least.

I don’t know anything about the band who contacted me. It is a red flag to me that they said to keep things secret. And I’ve never been to that part of the country, so I don’t know anything about what’s there for me.

The red flag made me think whether or not this was a joke or at the very least, not real.

I’ve not found anything on YouTube about this band. Nor any website or webpage.

Its disheartening. Especially to receive such an offer.  Money-Wiki-Psychonaught

But I’m baffled because — what in the world are they talking about that they had seen me sing that I was using my baritone register???

To my knowledge, no video of me singing or performing exists on the Internet.

I don’t know whether to reply or not. I do not know if there would be an answer back. It’s just a little freaky.

Could this be real or could it all be bullshit??

“Nobody pulls a prank like George Clooney.”~Anna Kendrick

I just saw this video and there’s a ton of thoughts about it.

Its title however is quite deceiving in its own way.

Its supposed to a video about a Brazilian man who gets revenge on a cheating girlfriend. She opens up what she believes is a romantic box of yummy and delicious chocolates.

What she finds instead is a total nightmare.

The video shows the man giving the box to the woman in the back seat. Then he gets out of the vehicle while she’s distracted by this elegant gift of love.

The video shows him seemingly making the vehicle only able to open the doors from the outside from its safety-lock feature.  0

As she finally gets the ribbon off of the box and pulls the lid off, she throws her loving gift into the air, spilling the contents everywhere inside the vehicle.

The box was not of chocolates, but of something so disgusting and terrifying that she scrambles as much as she can to get away from it all.

I will not tell you what was inside of it. You will have to find the video and watch it for yourself.

She screams in terror, calling out somebody’s name. We are to assume she is calling for the name of the same man who had given her the gift in the first place.

She tries in vain to exit the vehicle and screams more and more and more.

This video lasts only about 90 seconds and doesn’t give much explanation. The language is in Portuguese and subtitled as well.

Seeing this on Facebook for the first time, I actually laughed. I only knew what was being presented. That a man was seeking revenge on his CHEATING girlfriend. dani

But as I did the research for this story and wouldn’t you know it, its all fake!

It was a prank that was set up and recorded for “Pânico na TV!” which is a television program in Brazil.

The poor victim’s name is Daniele Bolina. A model/dancer for the show.

The television program has been in a great decline from its viewers in Brazil. The model actually was being picked on because she had married in 2010. And the show’s contract stated that all models/dancers were to remain single. So, in an  act of payback they picked on her.

She is not yelling in terror at the supposed boyfriend, but rather the producer of the show once she figures out that she has fallen a victim of a prank.

The other comments that are being made about it is that her voice sounds like a man when she screams. But I’m not this person’s gynecologist, so I’m leaving that one alone.

I actually had fallen to believe that this was a real prank of vengeance. And I did not feel any sympathy towards the cheating woman. Knowing the pain and sorrow of being cheated on, I was almost to the point of applauding the video although I am not 100% sure if I would do something like that to get back at someone who cheated on me.

But then my opinion on the matter had changed completely when I realized that this was a prank for a television show. Instead of being supportive of the action, I turned around and was shaking my head that this happened to the model.

I understand that she broke the terms of her contract by getting married. But what I do not understand is why didn’t the producers just terminate the contract and fire her from her job?

I think that since she was a part of this program that she knew something was coming. But she didn’t know exactly what.

This video is wild and crazy.  Some will laugh and others will shake in terror. You tell me what you think!

So here’s my answer to all of this garbage, as well as the story:

I will not name names, but someone came by to visit me because they felt that I was stuck being inside of the house on this, being Independence Day with nothing to do. Well, they were right in thinking that. I’ve not gone anywhere. I had no plans. So this person comes by to visit with me so that I could melt away some time.

It was a very kind gesture at the start. But it ended up going south really fast. Or has it?

This person asked my permission to play some music. I allowed it. But the guy didn’t like the CD collection that I have. So then he asked me if I had any “country music”.

No, I do not!

He began to grumble. So in order to keep him from getting noisy about it, I went on to YouTube and played a few select videos that were country music. But he didn’t like those too much either.

Then as the sun was starting to go down and it was getting dark in my home (having the lights out because of the fireworks and gun fire which is going on in celebration), I played one more video. It was Metallica’s cover of Bob Seger’s song, “Turn The Page”.

I wasn’t paying attention. And he wasn’t digging Metallica either.

So then he said that he had plans to go watch some fireworks and he left a few minutes later.

Then, I get an e-mail from him, with an attachment.

Without looking at the message first, I looked at the attachment. And THEN I realized that he had taken his cell phone and recorded video of me doing some super major air drums to Metallica’s covered song.

The message stated that he was considering putting the video on YouTube. In an effort to get the best of me and essentially embarrass me to pieces.

Why? Because I don’t listen to country music.

There was an “LOL” at the end of the message, and that could have meant that he was only teasing. But there the video was. And now I have a copy of it as well.

Here’s where this evil blackmailing plan is probably going to fail:

#1- The video was shot from a cell phone. VERY poor quality. All you can see is a person’s shadow in a wheelchair moving his arms.

#2- You cannot see the person’s face in the video. So nobody can say that it is definitively me.

#3- This guy obviously has forgotten about how people have become rich and famous and ultra-popular with viral videos. In which if he does upload it to YouTube, it could be the year’s biggest viral sensation.

So I say to him quite clearly: BRING IT ON!!!

Nobody is going to notice me, nobody is going to see that it is me. Nobody is going to care.

We’ll see if this gets uploaded or not. I don’t think that he has the stones to do it.

http://www.break.com/index/father-teaches-daughter-lesson-about-facebook-2298729

Okay. I’m just going to go ahead and hit the Spoiler Alert button right now. But you can go ahead and click on the link above to see what I am talking about.

A father with a heavy heart and an angry head, found a post on Facebook that was written by his 15 year old daughter. He then printed off the post and then recorded a video message for his daughter and her friends, for those who thought the daughter’s post was so cool.

The message that was written by the 15 year old was pretty much her flowing at the mouth. Being sick and tired of doing chores and being told to find a job. The daughter used a bit of vulgarity towards her parents, and basically toldher parents to piss off.

The father however, took this message and read the entire thing. And then he proceeded to comment about his daughter’s words.

The video was about 8 or 9 minutes in length. I don’t remember now. But I pretty was much sympathetic with the father for most of the video.

At one point, I kept thinking that this teenager was just talking out of her butt. But then I wondered what in the world could be going on that she continues to be “grounded” by her parents for previous infractions??

The teenager sounds like a terrible, ungrateful brat to say in the least. What a wicked child.

But then at the end of the video, the father changes the camera view and pulls out a .45 caliber handgun. What happened next seemed to be that he emptied the clip as he shot up the child’s laptop. The very same piece of equipment that the teenager used to bash her parents publicly, while believing that they couldn’t see or read it.

Some are speculating that the video is fake when the father put holes into the laptop. It looked pretty genuine to me though.

The parents were humiliated and yet tired of the child’s behavior. So the father turned around and got ONE UP on the child by doing this.

Was this a lesson in humiliation and respect or was it something that went too far??

I suspect though that this story is going to buzz heavily for a while. Perhaps gain the father a bit of a quickie celebrity status. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on television in the very near future.

And as much as I believe that the 15 year old child was horrible… one must take the lesson of “Beware of what you write on the Internet”. You may think it is private and you can hide it. But that is not always going to be the case.

I hope that this family is able to stay together and not fall apart because of this.

“People love coming on television, even if they have to show their miseries.”~ Victoria Abril
I stayed up kind of late last night, and I’m not sure as to why. But it would turn out to be a good idea.

Due to the fact that the NFL Playoffs were on so late and some dumb American Idol special, it caused the late local news to be VERY late news.

Before a commercial break right before the sports segment, I heard the words “sled hockey”, and I turned and looked but missed whatever they were previewing. So I sat there waiting for the news to come back on so that the sports would be shown.

Of course, with the NFL Playoffs and then the news of the death of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, these were some of the more highlighted stories of the broadcast. And I kept yelling at the television, “C’mon already!”. I was just far too anxious to see what I would see.

And then, they brought it to a “local setting”. And that’s when I would see our Paralympic Event being broadcast on television from the Cedar Park Center.

Keep in mind, nobody interviewed me while I was participating, but there was about a half of a second of video footage of me lazily skating across the ice. But they did interview a teammate and our new team leader. Both of which didn’t get a lot of face time either.

And that was my moment of glory for 2012, appearing on television in less than a blink of an eye.

This doesn’t happen to me a lot, but this is also not the first time that I’ve been on television. The moment that I saw myself last night made me think about the other times that I had been on television before when I was much younger.

Many times I’ve been in the background of some video footage as I was last night. But then when I was only eight years old, I did two commercials. It was for a fundraising event to build a wheelchair accessible swimming pool on the grounds of Camp Aldersgate in Arkansas. A summer camp designed for handicapped youth. Something I went to for six days each and every summer until I was nine years old.

The first commercial, I stood in the background with another girl who also had Spina Bifida, just like me. And the gentleman who was in charge of this project spoke. I didn’t say anything, neither did the girl.

But the second commercial, I actually had lines to speak. They attempted to make it sound like I was having a conversation with the girl about the difficulties of going to this camp and having to go completely out of the way on a rented school bus to get to the nearest public swimming pool. Other children that had disabilities more severe than my own, struggled with what seemed like to them, life and death, just to get on board the bus.

I remember when they had asked my parents if I would do it. My father would ask me if I could say words like “therapeutic” and “donation”.

It was kind of difficult because we had to say our lines and be done in 28 seconds. Not one second more, not one second less. Take after take after take before we finally got it right.

I did those two commercials. My family & I caught them on television four times at home. But it was always the commercial that I had the “conversation” with the other girl. Only once did my family catch the FIRST commercial with the gentleman who spoke that was in charge.

I became quite popular in the neighborhood, in school, and anywhere I went. People would recognize me from television. Even my own school principal and the school office staff would make a big deal out of it whenever they would see me. The principal insisting that I give an autograph. Other people wanted my autograph as well. Including the older neighborhood kids. They were kinda proud to say to their friends that they knew the kid in the commercial.

Then my family went to watch my older brother play high school basketball, and I had a crowd of people surrounding me wherever I went. It was fun, but at the same time really scary and creepy.

Shortly after that, I would be there for the groundbreaking ceremony. Myself and my co-star standing there with shovels as dignitaries and local politicians on hand to help in our needs to stabilize our balance on the uneven terrain.

The mayor of Little Rock, Arkansas stood behind me and helped as I kept digging as best I could with a shovel. I can still hear in my head his commands of “PUSH!” and “GRUNT HARDER!”, as he whispered to me that the grunting would help me dig deeper into the ground. The media was there and I ended up on the front page of the newspaper.

Who was I to argue with the mayor? I was always told to respect those who were my elders and those who were in positions of power. So when he said to grunt, I grunted!!!

It would happen again at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Front page news with photograph included.

The swimming pool was built some time later and I was the first person in it. They placed me in a wheelchair and I had scores of parents, politicians, private donators, and members of the local media, as well as the governor of Arkansas at the time, Bill Clinton, in attendance.

A few speeches were made, and there I was cutting this ribbon along side a volunteer who had been a camp counselor ever since I can remember when I would go to the camp during the summer.

The ramp was built in the shallow end of the swimming pool. But as you went further and further down the ramp, the surface of the pool water would rise. First your feet, then up to your knees, then to your waist. But by the time it got past your waist, your body freely and instinctively just floated away from the wheelchair and then VOILA!!– You were swimming.

Being a child, it was a creepy feeling. But then again, the way it worked was a complete and total success. It was the first of its kind I understand today. Probably the first wheelchair accessible swimming pool ever built.

That was probably thirteen out of my fifteen minutes of fame spent. Not bad for an eight year old boy, huh??

I’m tempted to call the television station that recorded the commercials to see if they still have it in their archives. I would love to get a copy of it. The station still exists as it was back then. But I’ve not tried it as of yet.

If they do have it and they send it to me, then perhaps I’ll upload it to YouTube or something.

But since that time, I’ve been in video footage that had been on the news at one point or another. Only one time that I can remember did I actually have an interview with the journalist who was covering a story, but I also remember they edited about 80% of what I had said. I guess for time limitations for the story. I don’t know.

They totally edited out the part where I turned and shouted, “HI MOM!!!” on camera. Sorry bastards..!

However, seeing myself on television last night was kinda cool. Nothing to write home about. But still … kinda cool. I was just at the right place at the right time.

I think I am ready for my straight jacket now. My size is a 48 R. Thank you.

Check this video out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1k-wMFiYs8

Pretty disgusting, isn’t it? Several things do come to mind.

#1- I cannot be sure but I think I’ve seen this before.

#2- What the hell was the Hillsborough County Police Department thinking?

Naturally we have no audio of the video that brings the incident before our very eyes, but it is pretty brutal. I kept waiting and waiting on this video to share what the police department had said in its defense, but there was none.

Nonetheless, within a fraction of a second of watching this video footage I was seeing red. I felt that this was an injustice and was crying for their blood to be spilled in retribution of the poor treatment of this quadriplegic man. My mind boiled over as I shared this link on Facebook and within a few short minutes found that it had been re-posted over and over and over again.

Several dozen people had the same instant reaction that I had. But I was not going to stay and read each individual comment and I left for the evening.

When I had returned home, I found that some people had done their homework over this incident.

Turns out that this happened in Tampa, Florida in 2008. And it wasn’t something that had happened recently in which I had originally thought. Which is why it was in the back of my mind that I might have seen this before. I was probably right the first time. (Did you notice the date in which the video was posted? Me neither!)

Suddenly my rage from a few hours before was gone. I was still not happy that it happened to begin with.

It did raise more questions.

#1- What happened to this man?

#2- Did these negligent people lose their jobs?

#3- Why couldn’t they (as well as other police departments) have handled this better?

I am very aware that law enforcment people on the inside must definitely take every precaution when handling someone who is being processed for jail. For all they knew, it could have been someone who was “faking” a disability. (Although I really don’t know of any scumbags would want to do something hideous and deplorable like that.)

I understand the caution they must take because had this man been faking, it could have put a lot of people in jeopardy. Bottom line here was, that he was not faking. He is a quadriplegic, did I mention that ALREADY??

Dumping this man from his wheelchair was not the answer though! He sustained broken ribs on account of this encounter. Certainly there are better ways for police to handle people in their jails. As a person who lives with a physical disability and uses a wheelchair, if this had happened to me then you could be assured that Hell would have broken loose.

But it didn’t. And I still firmly stand in my beliefs that something like this should NEVER happen.

The facts are that this case seems to be in the rear view mirror of the Hillsborough County Police Department. As well as the man to which this had happened.

So I sit here, embarassed. Knowing that I had allowed my blood pressure to skyrocket and causing many others to react in the same way as I had. But what is done, is done.

If you want to know what was the end result of this case read the article below.
