“It’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!”

About a week ago, a YouTube video went totally viral with Andy Rehfeldt’s cover of the lovable Disney classic tune “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

A DEATH METAL COVER!

Yes, Mr. Rehfeldt has this talent of taking a specific genre of music, recording a cover of that song, but changing the genre.

Pop goes Death Metal. Heavy Metal goes Jazz or Funk. It is actually quite good and quite entertaining!

I am always impressed with Mr. Rehfeldt and his musical talents and abilities.

I had to laugh when he changed the #1 hit “My Heart Will Go On” to a death metal tune. I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.

However, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from the film “Mary Poppins” is actually a duet between Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. Mr. Rehfeldt lends his talents for Dick Van Dyke’s parts of the song. But there’s a distinct female death metal vocal for Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. sera1

Who is she?

After doing a little bit of digging, her name is Sera Hatchett. Lead vocalist for the band Mercy Brown, from Washington state.

I have to say that I am impressed with her voice and her abilities to go into that growling “cookie monster” vocals.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for Mercy Brown’s music. The whole Mary Poppins cover song is just so much fun to listen to!!!

I wonder if after they finish their time in the recording studio if they will do any touring in this direction? That would be sweet. I’d go! sera2

If you want to check out any of their information, videos, news, and whatever else that they may have to offer to the general public, there are links to their perspective Facebook pages below.

Personally though, I would LOVE to hear Amanda Maddera from CASKET OF CASSANDRA sing the vocal parts of Mary Poppins. I think she would just kill it!!!!

I think that there has to be great talent to be able to do what they’ve done here. Anyone can sing. And anyone can perform cover songs. But to know how to switch one song from one genre to the other, that’s just awesome.

“There’s a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.”~ Steven Wright

More tales from the moron block coming at you this evening.

About this time in 2012,  Mötley Crüe was playing a show in New Mexico.

Nobody is for certain just what happened but a fan apparently got on the nerves of lead singer, Vince Neil.

So much was he disturbed by this fan that he broke away from what he apparently calls “a performance” and cussed out the fan, telling him to leave. After that Vince Neil took a swing at the fan, and failed miserably to connect. The microphone suffered some feedback which probably hurt the ears of many nearby but Vince Neil was there looking foolish for swinging at him.

And then he continued on with his “performance” of “Kickstart My Heart.” I use that term ever so slightly because Vince Neil, when he is performing live– hardly sings any of his tunes any more. Instead of its more of a melodic and monotonous live recital. And personally I think that rips off the fans.

Okay I know that I am pretty late on this one as this happened a year ago. But Vince…. c’mon. What is going on?!? Tell us what your problem is…. we’re here for you.

You just didn’t think too clearly when you decided to take a punch at the guy. At least that’s what it appears like.

Had you connected your punch, you would have gone to jail for the night. And then you would have been in jeopardy of losing a large portion of the $50 million that you are supposedly worth.

You would have been owned.

You are also in your 50’s… what did you expect was going to happen? Why take the risk of breaking a finger or throwing out your hip?????

idiot

So thankfully Vince Neil didn’t punch out any fan. But fans who were there to eyewitness it, were very quick to upload the incident on YouTube and other networking sites.

Geez… this is a year late, but this one is for you!!!!!

“If truth is beauty, how come no one has their hair done in the library?”~Lily Tomlin

In just a few days, over 1.1 MILLION views came to the hair tutorial of this Florida middle school girl. Why? Because the unthinkable happened and to be honest, one of the funniest things to have happened in a long time on the Internet.

The hair tutorial that Tori Locklear was recording when horribly, horribly wrong when she misjudged her own curling iron. The inevitable and the horrific happened.

And over a million people now have seen it in its fully restored glory.

Another video gone viral and for what or why? Because other people thought it was hilarious.

But good grief! I don’t understand why anyone who has been captured on video OR at least had been recording a video and something out of the ordinary and unexpected had happened.  Scarlet-takes-a-tumble-430x168

Do we all remember a certain woman that went by the name of Scarlet?

OF COURSE WE DO!

We all have seen the unfortunate circumstances that unfolded when she decided to step up and dance and continue her performance on a table that ended in tragedy.

We all laughed our asses off at that one though. Many people even went to lengths to record their reactions to the video or record someone else’s reaction. I recall thinking about recording MY OWN reaction to watching the video and posting it as my first YouTube video. Thankfully, I talked myself out of it.

Since “Scarlet Takes A Tumble” there have been many videos that have gone viral and then went away quietly into the night.

Locklear’s decision to post this video, if I am hearing correctly, was something that she held on to and then made a decision later to post it. Her thought along with others, is what I don’t understand.

Why in the world would anyone willingly post something that humiliating or horrible of themselves to YouTube or anywhere else on the Internet??

Scarlet’s viral video is still exceptionally funny to this day. But nobody’s ranting about it any more and they haven’t been ranting about it for a very long time now. And other viral videos from other vloggers and bloggers haven’t really made anyone rich that they are still talked about today.

Remember Antoine Dodson? No?? How about “hide yo kids, hide yo wife”.. does that ring a bell? That probably did.

He’s no longer much in the public eye either. Although to give him credit, his appearance on a YouTube video was not because of him being or doing something humiliating.

Poor Tori Locklear though. This accident happened to her, and millions are laughing still all week this week. Who knows why in the world she decided to post this video! It could have been because she wanted to become viral, and possibly be famous from it. After all, bad press is still good press. But I cannot honestly say to you that is the reason why this video has blown up in the past several days.

Question still remains: WHY??
